Watercolor Paint Evenings with Artist Claire Loon Baldwin

Step into the world of watercolor with artist and illustrator Claire Loon Baldwin! This summer, Claire is back offering a relaxing, farm-inspired watercolor painting series; with five classes to choose from, you have your choice of visuals and dates! Classes will be held in Wanderwood’s beautifully renovated barn, nestled within the surroundings of the organic farm. Each class runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m. and will include light refreshments and relaxing watercolor painting!

All materials to use during class will be provided.

Each class will study a different natural element of Maine including spring bouquets (May 11) with flowers to take home, lupine flowers (June 3), cherry tomatoes (July 8), local organic flowers (August 5) with flowers to take home, and autumn leaves (September 9).  Whether you’re a beginner seeking stress-free, approachable guidance or an experienced artist looking to expand your skills, these classes provide opportunities to grow.

About the artist: Claire Loon Baldwin is an illustrator, designer, and storyteller inspired by the surreal beauty of nature. For years she worked in national parks as an environmental educator and interpretive ranger. Now she strives to inspire environmental action through art. Some of her clients include The Nature Conservancy of Maine, the Maine Audubon Society, Down East Magazine, and DK Publishing. Her illustrations are featured in Live Free, Eat Well, a cookbook by Adam Glick, available everywhere books are sold as of June 2024. When she’s not busy creating art, she’s cultivating a native plant and vegetable garden with her husband, and hiking as much as she can.

About Wanderwood: Wanderwood is a sustainable stays and events venue in Nobleboro, Maine. They grow MOFGA Certified organic produce on their farm, host farm dinners, workshops, weddings and special events in their event barn, and invite overnight guests to stay in their renovated 1920s farmhouse.
